π Join us for a grand opening reception featuring the incredible works of Adderly Grant-Lord, Louise Cutler, Lydia Carlis, Thomas Lockhart, John Toms, and Gedion Nyanhongo.
π Can you hear the silent pleas, the unspoken echoes of a soul yearning to be acknowledged and seen? As we celebrate Black History Month through an artistic lens, we invite you to step into the soul-stirring symphony of these vibrant and evocative exhibits. The question lingers: “Can you hear me?”
Adderly Grant-Lord, a cherished artist and NOBO board member, has dedicated three years to curating an exhibit rooted in personal concern. Inspired by her daughter’s journey to find identity in a community lacking representation, Adderly emphasizes the urgent need for exposure to Black art. This exposure fosters understanding, connection, and true community within our hearts.
π Join us in celebrating:
π The beauty, depth, and resilience of the Black experience.
π The transformative power of art in bridging gaps and fostering unity.
π The rich history of Black Americans as an integral part of our collective American narrative.
