Visual literacy

A Program of Visual Arts

The Dairy Arts Center is proud to present Visual Literacy, an arts writing program driven by Visual Arts. One exhibiting artist (or pair/collective/etc.) will be asked to invite a guest artist, writer, creative, academic, etc. to craft a written/creative response to their exhibition on view at The Dairy. This program seeks to 1) support original art essay writing and critical dialogue within the larger Boulder arts community 2) archive the exhibition with additional written assets for future growth and development 3) provide exhibiting artists with outside context of how their work fits into the larger world as well as within our local community.
