COmpass REsonance celebrates its recent album release, featuring superstar violinist Vadim Gluzman in The Bach Violin Concertos alongside works by Ukrainian composer Valentyn Silvestrov. The 2026/2027 season reflects how this legacy organization—in its 46th year—honors its roots and traditions while forging new paths in examining musical style across time and cultures. Juxtaposing ancient music with a world premiere of new music is just one example of what makes Boulder’s CORE unique and vibrant. Each dynamic personality in the ensemble is fluent in the Baroque vocabulary, and brings poetic nuance to later music, from Classical, Romantic, and post-Romantic to some of the most special music being composed today.
Co-led by pianist/harpsichordist Mina Gajic and violinist Zachary Carrettin, this conductorless ensemble traverses musical eras and distinct composers’ voices seamlessly, with aplomb, and always with an exploratory and fresh spirit.
