Beloved Moroccan-Canadian stand-up comic and actor Gad Elmaleh, who found fame in France, stars in this painfully funny comedy about a Jewish man contemplating Catholic conversion — much to his parents’ dismay. Called the Jerry Seinfeld of France, Elmaleh strikes a nerve with his tale of a man caught in a prickly dilemma.
Elmaleh wrote and directed this semi-autobiographical comedy, and shrewdly asked his parents to play themselves.
