Local Theater Company presents a staged reading of The Unbuttoning, a new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Beth Henley directed by Pesha Rudnick.
In a cabin high on a peak, a storm is brewing when a woman is visited by a traveling button salesman. She brushes off his pitch, but he unexpectedly awakens something in her. Turns out she’s interested in more than buttons. This Blue Ridge fantasia features a woman isolated by the restrictions of class and gender.

The Unbuttoning is presented as part of the Local Lab New Play Festival.
