The International BOCO FLAMENCO Festival is proud to present world-renowned flamenco visionary Dorantes and Pastora Galván, one of the most sought-after flamenco dancers in the world.
The subtle and the ethereal, the overwhelming and the volcanic, the elegant and the sensitive. A bare-chested piano, flamenco from another dimension. That’s Dorantes at ‘InterAcción’ presentation. InterAccion is a nod to the origins of flamenco, where the knuckles and palms were the basis of all musical and expressive development. An interesting concept and artistic dialogue where virtuosity is the common denominator of the stake and in which the four elements directed from Dorantes’s piano recreate an intense and striking space of rhythms and expressions that gather the soul and strength of flamenco. Flamenco is not only music, it is a cultural philosophy that has been nourished by valuable contributions. The Gypsy contribution not only cannot be forgotten but must be recognized as decisive and fundamental in the birth and development of this art.
Dorantes is a Spanish Gypsy pianist. A piano with intelligence, conviction and authenticity with which he fuses the melodies and rhythms typical of flamenco, impressionist music and jazz. Absolutely moving, complex and personal.
Pastora Galván has in her blood the traditional nature of her gypsy family’s dance and the modernity that she and her brother Israel are expressing around the world being both genius at the most plausible forefront of flamenco.
