Oct 20-21 – Based on the novel by John Williams. Looking for adventure in the wild west, Harvard-educated blue-blood Will Andrews (Fred Hechinger) arrives wide-eyed in the hardscrabble Kansas town of Butcher’s Crossing. Soon after, he meets up with an impassioned buffalo hunter (the sensationally intense Nicolas Cage), who offers him the chance of a lifetime—to join an epic expedition for the biggest hunt of all time. But as they venture into the sweeping unknown of the American Rockies, their journey begins to unravel in a testosterone-fueled downward spiral of ego, obsession, and greed.
This film was made in cooperation with the Blackfeet Nation in Montana and the InterTribal Buffalo Council, an organization that commingles approximately 79 tribes across 22 states with a mission to return the buffalo to tribal lands while teaching the animal’s epic cultural and spiritual significance to younger generations.
