This unique stand-up comedy show features a lineup of talented comedians who have been directly or indirectly impacted by addiction, offering their hilarious takes on the challenges and triumphs of recovery. Our stellar lineup includes Dominic Syracuse, Deb Lastowka, Tara Check, and Headliner Von Sprecken. Hosted by Joe Huisman.

Von Sprecken is a compelling comedian with a mission: to bring laughter and light to the world of mental health. With over a decade of experience in the recovery community, Von’s journey through addiction and mental health challenges has shaped his unique comedic voice. He’s seen it all—as a patient, a family member, and a front-line healthcare worker—and now, he’s turning his experiences into powerful performances that educate and entertain.

Starting his comedy career in Denver in 2017, Von quickly made a name for himself at top venues like Comedy Works. His sharp wit and heartfelt humor won him the Pop Culture Con Tournament of Laughs in 2019. Today, Von tours nationally, using his platform to break down stigmas and connect with audiences through the healing power of comedy.

Second Chance Comedy isn’t just a comedy show; it’s a trailblazing celebration of resilience, recovery, and the universal healing power of laughter. No one else is doing a show like this—bringing the raw realities of addiction into the light with humor and honesty. Whether you’ve been touched by addiction or simply love great comedy that tackles tough topics, this event promises an unforgettable night of hilarity and heart.

Come for the laughs, stay for the cause, and support a great mission while you’re at it. Let’s break the stigma of addiction together—one joke at a time.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, show starts at 7:00 PM.
