Emery Golson is a certified herbalist, philanthropist, mother, and farmers wife. Emery first became involved with philanthropy when joining the board of her family’s foundation in Kansas City in 2013. After years of learning more about the philanthropic sector, she began working with her brothers to change the philanthropic landscape. In 2020 they began The Hadley Project an inclusive fund focused on social and racial justice. This pilot project was so successful that it is now being turned into a foundation, The KC Peoples Fund. Emery also runs her own fund, The Radical Waves Project. This has been her own endeavor, working with other women in her community with a giving circle type model. Emery is passionate about changing the current model of traditional philanthropy. Moving from a top down system to a bottom up approach. When not wearing her philanthropic hat, Emery enjoys spending family time out on her farm.
