In Frida’s Wings on June 7th and 8th at the Dairy Arts Center, Danse Etoile will explore the art and life of famed artist Frida Kahlo, a contrast of traditional Mexican culture and her modern paintings. Translating the rich symbolism of her pieces into dance, we’ll take a closer look at the many faces of Frida Kahlo, weaving her colorful and complicated life into a creative ballet that pays tribute to one of the most unique and intriguing artists of the 20th century.
