Lead actor, Tobias Forrest, will be in person for post-film Q&A.

A paraplegic enlists his amputee neighbor to drive his newly discovered 4-year-old daughter to live with her grandparents.

DARUMA is an award-winning dramedy about friendship, fatherhood, found family and forgiveness. A groundbreaking film lauded for its authenticity, DARUMA is executive produced by Oscar-winner Peter Farrelly. DARUMA played for sold-out audiences at the Slamdance film festival in Park City where actor John W. Lawson took home the award for BEST ACTOR. Tobias Forrest was awarded the BEST ACTING AWARD at the Media Access Awards, presented by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

The film is the recipient of the Panavision New Filmmakers Grant and has garnered the support of disability advocacy groups across the country.

In person, post film Q&A: Tobias Forrest is a performer with a disability who has a background in accessible consulting and MS in psychology. He won the Christopher Reeve Acting Award for the film ”Daruma” and has credits including “The Academy Awards”, “Media Access Awards”, ”Law & Order: Organized Crime”, “How To Get Away With Murder”, “Queen Sugar” and many others. He has also done voiceover for animation as well as audio description for TV, narration for audiobooks and been the MC for nonprofit events.
