Art & Movement Workshop: Ancestral Movement Practice

March 8 @ 6:00 pm

$20 – $25

TICKETS

Join The Dairy Arts Center and Urban Sanctuary for unique wellness-inspired art and movement workshops as part of the Black Futures in Art exhibition and Black History Month. These sessions, set amongst the beautiful artworks in the McMahon Gallery of the Dairy, allow participants to explore interconnectedness through the body and mind in a creative space.

Join us on March 8th for a gentle somatic movement class combining music, movement, and creative flow for an energizing and reflective workshop. Let’s move together, breathe together, and dream together—nurturing the vibrant possibilities that arise when we embrace humanity’s interconnected beauty and heritage. Both sessions are 1 hour each, and all levels are welcome. Mats are provided, or you are welcome to bring your own.

About Urban Sanctuary:
Urban Sanctuary is a movement studio that makes yoga and wellness practices accessible to all. Our mission is to provide communities of color with access to yoga, mindfulness, and wellness practices that are vital for healing from systemic oppression. By fostering joy, alignment, and connection to the highest version of themselves, we empower individuals to create lives of wholeness and to experience transformative growth. Urban Sanctuary is also a non-profit, and you can donate to support our work for the black and brown community. Here is the link to learn more and to support US: https://urbansanctuary.love/donate

As part of the Black Futures in Art exhibition, this workshop is offered free of charge to BIPOC individuals. For a free ticket, please email stella@thedairy.org
