A self-taught musician, Holly Lovell was always drawn to the stage. After moving from Colorado to Australia as a kid, she found solace in music, teaching herself guitar. Lovell moved back to the U.S. to pursue music in Denver, where she became part of the local music scene. In 2025, Holly was named a finalist in the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Competition and earned an Honorable Mention in the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase—recognition that speaks to the quiet power of her work and the stories she’s here to tell.
From a wide-eyed tike delicately pressing the keys of her mother’s upright piano to a seasoned artist taking various stages across the country, Monica Marie LaBonte has always been guided by song.
