The daring experimenter Dr. John C. Lilly dedicated his life to radical self-investigation and unlocking the mysteries of consciousness and communication. “My body is my laboratory” was the motto, and his research on the language of dolphins and whales – as well as psychedelics and sensory deprivation – assured his own cult status in 20th-century pop culture as the basis for Ken Russel’s Altered States and Mike Nichols’s The Day of the Dolphin. Joy Redstone has been a social worker and addiction counselor in practice for almost three decades, with active LCSW and CAC III credentials. She holds a psilocybin facilitator license and has completed training programs in psychedelic therapy at Multidisciplinary Alliance for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and Naropa University (now Memoru.)

She was the clinical director of Naropa Community Counseling and prior to that the Executive Director of the Bridge House. She currently works in private practice, Radiant Life Counseling LLC. She also has a significant art practice as a member of D’art 360 Gallery and a Board Member at Next Gallery.
