This Frank Capra dark comedy, based on a play, which was based on a real-life Connecticut boarding house multiple murder case, stars Cary Grant. He plays Mortimer Brewster, a Brooklyn writer of books on the futility of marriage, who risks his reputation after he decides to tie the knot.
