Craig Bushman received his BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Colorado – Boulder in 1992. He began working in The Dairy Center for the Arts that same year as technical manager for the Space for Dance. He served as production manager for Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp in 1996 and 1997. He then became production manager for the Colorado Dance Festival in 1998 and 1999. In the summer of 2000, he served on the production staff of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. In October of 2000, he was hired as the technical director of the Performance Space (now Gordon Gamm Theater) at The Dairy Center for the Arts and has been here ever since. As a freelance lighting designer, he works for Hannah Kahn Dance, 3rd Law Dance Theatre, Frequent Flyers Productions, Boulder Ballet, among many others. He has toured nationally and internationally as a technical director and lighting director for Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, Doug Varone And Dancers, and others.
