One hundred years ago, a modest research program was launched in a far-flung corner of the British Empire. Today, the fabled Technion that sits atop Mount Carmel in Haifa is one of the leading science and technology institutions in the world, having played a vital role in the start-up nation’s achievements and economic success. The story of the Technion as it celebrates its first century provides a fascinating prism through which to view the turbulent, triumphant history of the State of Israel.
