A rigorous exploration of movement, body form, and highly specialized arm épaulement is at play. It juxtaposes movements, the smooth and velvety with awkward and pedestrian. ‘FLESH’ invites the audience on an intriguing journey, it redirects the mind while revealing the expressive possibilities of the human body.
Sher-Machherndl is a singular force. His distinctive movement language and deeply embodied choreographic style have evolved via an illustrious international career as performer, creator, and educator. He continues to perform nationally and internationally, to diverse audiences, without compromise. His commanding stage presence radiates wisdom and knowledge, embodied somatically, intellectually and energetically.

Following its Boulder premiere, Lemon Sponge Cake will take FLESH on an international tour, with a performance in Vienna, Austria.
