Friday Night Weird: Tromeo and Juliet

A Very Tromatic Valentine’s Day

February  14-15

All the body-piercing, kinky sex and car crashes that Shakespeare wanted but never had! Co-written by James Gunn (SLITHER, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY), TROMEO AND JULIET finds handsome Tromeo, ravishing Juliet, mustachioed Lemmy of Motorhead (!!) traveling through Manhattan’s underground in search of love, violence, and the American Way. The movie that the NEW YORK POST called “The most ambitious and enjoyable film Troma has yet put out,” is perfect for Valentine’s Day! (Lloyd Kaufman, 1996, USA, 1:47, NR)

Local author/filmmaker, former DAILY CAMERA staffer and editor of the new book LLOYD KAUFMAN: INTERVIEWS Mathew Klickstein returns to the Boe to offer an introduction and thoughtful talkback after both screenings. On Saturday night, he’ll also be joined remotely by Troma co-founder/president and director of TROMEO & JULIET himself, Lloyd Kaufman, for post-screening Q&A with the audience.

Listen to Mathew’s recent interview on KGNU on his new book or his interview with Boulder Weekly!
