As the classic Dracula was being made, Hollywood was aware of an international audience that it wanted to reach, so each evening after shooting, a different cast and crew would come to work making a Spanish-language version of Drácula. Originally released in Cuba and forgotten by most, now rediscovered, this version is considered by many to be superior to the one most people know. About 30 minutes longer and much livelier, with more camera movement and less studio oversight, this is a Drácula not to be missed. (George Melford, 1931, USA, 1:44, NR)
