Kathleen McCormick is the Dairy Arts Center Board’s representative from the Boulder Arts Commission, on which she has served since 2016, and as chair since 2020. Born in New York and raised in New Jersey, she graduated from Boston College with a BA in English and from Boston University with an MS in Journalism. She worked for numerous magazines and newspapers while living in Washington DC for 12 years. She moved to Boulder in 1993 with her husband Michael Leccese and daughter Nora, soon to be joined by son Vito. In 1995, she co-founded Fountainhead Communications LLC, and since then has been writing and editing books, reports, and articles about design and the environment, focusing in recent years on sustainable and resilient cities, equitable development, and creative placemaking. Kathleen enjoys travel and exploring arts and culture, including choral singing. She also frequently enjoys performances, films, exhibits, and events at the Dairy Center.
