SUMMARY:Daughtering | Mar 14-22
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nIn “Daughtering\,” three generations of women navigate living\, dying and the dead when they are called home to appease unruly spirits. Sixteen to seventy-something\, each carries her own idea of what it means to be a daughter: caregiver\, rebel\, keeper of the stories\, breaker of the cycle. Over the course of three charged days and nights\, the daughters navigate relationship\, grief\, and the business of the old house that contains them\, alive in its own way with memory and an impressive population of mice. What unfolds is a darkly humorous\, emotionally resonant exploration of identity\, inheritance and the universal work of becoming who we are\, despite (and because of) where we come from. The play culminates in DIY ceremony and catharsis – as tender\, fierce and complicated as daughtering itself.

SUMMARY:Magellan | Mar 18-22
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \nAt the dawn of the modern era\, Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan (Gael García Bernal) navigated a fleet of ships to Southeast Asia\, attempting the first voyage across the vast Pacific Ocean. On reaching the Malay Archipelago\, the crew pushed to the brink of madness in the harshness of the high seas and overwhelming natural beauty of the islands\, Magellan’s obsession leads to a rebellion and reckoning with the consequences of power. A vast\, globe-spanning epic from Filipino filmmaker Lav Diaz (NORTE\, THE END OF HISTORY)\, MAGELLAN presents the colonization of the Philippines as a primal\, shocking encounter with the unknown and a radical retelling of European narratives of discovery and exploration. SUMMARY:“Teresita’s Dream” Film Screening: Cuba’s Battle Against Alzheimer’s with Live Q&A
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\n LIVE STREAM\nPlease join us for a special screening of Teresita’s Dream\, followed by a live Q&A with Dr. William Blanchet. The evening will focus on a promising new treatment for Alzheimer’s disease called NeuroEPO\, which was developed by Cuba’s public biotech sector. More than 55 million people live with Alzheimer’s — but access\, visibility\, and support for NeuroEPO are blocked by U.S. sanctions and outdated Cold War policies. \nTeresita’s Dream follows the extraordinary story of Cuban scientist Teresita Rodríguez. When her mother is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s\, Teresita embarks on a deeply personal and politically complex journey to find a treatment – joined by a team of mostly women scientists. What begins as an effort to help her mother leads to a discovery that could change how the world treats this devastating disease forever. \nSet in the heart of Havana against the backdrop of Cuba’s world-class biotech sector and the relentless challenges posed by the U.S. embargo\, this film is a powerful story of scientific innovation\, love\, hope\, and resilience. \nDr. Blanchet is a Boulder-based physician whose open-minded approach to medicine led him on an unlikely journey from Colorado to Cuba.

SUMMARY:What the River Knows: Presented by Glen Canyon Institute
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nGlen Canyon Institute\, in collaboration with Crow Canyon Archaeological Center\, presents What the River Knows\, a Good Intentions Paving Co. documentary exploring the reemergence of Glen Canyon from the receding waters of Lake Powell reservoir. As the West faces the urgent need to redesign water management\, we are offered the chance to restore one of the planet’s most stunning landscapes. What the River Knows explores this unique reflection point in a centuries-long history\, weaving together past and present to reveal a new way forward for the Colorado River. \nThe evening will open with Glen Canyon Rising\, a documentary short from Crow Canyon Archaeological Center featuring Hopi archaeologist Lyle Balenquah and author Craig Childs. This powerful visual and narrative experience reveals layers of human history embedded in the landscape. As water levels fall\, generations of cultural footprints are revealed\, and dormant ecological systems begin to stir once more. \nFollowing the film screening\, the event will conclude with a panel discussion and audience Q+A.

SUMMARY:Mr. Nobody Against Putin | Mar 25-29
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \nNominee: Best Documentary Feature – 98th Academy Awards \nPasha Talankin is an unlikely hero—a beloved Russian primary school teacher\, known as a mentor and prankster who offers students a safe haven in his office. After Russia invades Ukraine\, Pasha’s role in the school changes dramatically as he is reluctantly drawn into Putin’s propaganda machine. Forced to promote state-sanctioned messages and horrified by the transformation of his school and community\, he struggles with guilt and a sense of powerlessness\, leading him to become an international whistleblower. As the school’s videographer\, Pasha documents intimate and revealing footage of Putin’s regime\, capturing the rise of militarized children’s groups\, repressive laws\, fervent nationalism\, and the recruitment of graduating students to fight in the war. When he learns his own life may be at risk\, Pasha is forced to plan a dangerous escape from Russia. (David Borenstein & Pavel Talankin\, 2025\, Denmark/Czechia/Germany\, 1:30\, NR)

SUMMARY:Youth Advisory Board: Lady Bird
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nAfter Ferris made skipping school look easy\, Lady Bird shows us a coming-of-age story from a sharper\, more complicated female perspective that we don’t always get from the genre. It’s funny\, awkward\, and painfully relatable\, diving into identity\, class\, friendship\, and the pressure to figure out who you are. The directorial debut of Greta Gerwig (who later made box office history with Barbie)\, Lady Bird it feels like the perfect March pick as we celebrate Women’s History Month. \nAbout the film: A fiercely independent teenager tries to make her own way in the world while wanting to get out of her hometown of Sacramento\, California\, and to get away from her complicated mother and recently-unemployed father. (Greta Gerwig\, 2017\, United States\, 1:34\, R) \n$7 Youth Tickets (25 & Under) | $14 Adults | $11 Students & Seniors | $7 Dairy Members
