SUMMARY:Exploring Book-ness Workshop
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nSurrounded by the artworks in Off the Page exhibition\, participants are invited to explore the many possibilities of what a book can be with Bohemia Boulder. \nFrom ancient scrolls to contemporary artist books\, this hands-on workshop examines the book as both a vessel for ideas and an artistic medium in its own right. Together\, we’ll challenge conventional notions of “book-ness.” \nDoes a book need pages? Does it need words? Does it even need to be legible? How can we stretch these boundaries to create a book that speaks in our own unique voice? \nParticipants will learn several folded book structures\, experiment with a variety of materials\, tools\, and mark-making techniques\, and explore the relationship between concept and material. Through playful experimentation and reflection\, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind book inspired by your own process\, experiences\, and imagination—using truly “off the page” approaches. \nNo prior experience is necessary. All materials will be provided. \n

SUMMARY:American Crossroads Theater: Murder For Two | Aug. 20 - 29
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nOne piano. Two actors. Thirteen suspects. Endless possibilities for laughter. \nA great American novelist is dead\, and everyone at his surprise birthday party is a suspect. In this fast-paced\, hilarious musical whodunit\, one actor plays the detective racing to crack the case while the other plays every single suspect—and both pound the keys of a single piano all night long. It’s part murder mystery\, part madcap vaudeville\, and 100% a tour-de-force of comic timing and showmanship. \nA perennial crowd-pleaser that’s wowed audiences off-Broadway and beyond\, Murder for Two is the kind of show that reminds you why live theater is irreplaceable. Bring a friend\, bring your detective instincts\, and prepare to laugh until the final reveal.

SUMMARY:Underland
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nSept 2-6 \nOscar-nominee Sandra Hüller narrates this cinematic adaptation of Robert Macfarlane’s bestselling book\, UNDERLAND. The documentary voyages into worlds rarely glimpsed by human eyes to explore the world beneath our feet. One not of fear and darkness\, but rather of knowledge and wonder that can be found nowhere else. Beginning in the shallow soils beneath an old ash tree\, we travel alongside several ‘astronauts of the underworld’ into ancient sacred caves\, flooded storm drains\, melting glaciers\, underwater burial chambers and a deep underground laboratory built to solve the mysteries of the Universe. UNDERLAND dives deep into the Earth to present a groundbreaking vision for rethinking our lives on this fragile surface. (Robert Petit\, 2025\, USA/UK\, 1:19\, NR)

SUMMARY:Musical Vanguards at the Dairy presents an Evening with Seth Walker
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nSeth Walker is a revered modern Americana artist; a three-dimensional talent combining a gift for melody and lyric alongside a rich\, Gospel-drenched\, Southern-inflected voice with a true blue knack for getting around on the guitar. Currently residing in Asheville after stints living in Nashville\, New Orleans\, and Austin\, he’s used those experiences wisely\, soaking up the sounds and absorbing the musical lineage of these varied places. \nWith a bluesman’s respect for roots and tradition\, coupled with an appreciation for contemporary songwriting\, Seth sublimely weaves a range of styles with warmth and grace. All Music declares\, “Walker is deft and elegant\, weaving together sounds and stories in a way that has a quiet\, lasting impact\,” but perhaps Country Standard Time said it best: “If you subscribe to the Big Tent theory of Americana\, then Seth Walker –with his blend of blues\, gospel\, pop\, R&B\, rock\, and a dash country—just might be your poster boy.” His latest album\, Why The Worry\, is out now.

SUMMARY:Late Fame
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nSept 9-16 \nThe great Willem Dafoe lends his delicate gravitas to the role of Ed Saxberger\, a forgotten New York poet who works in the post office. After an eager and flattering young admirer (Edmund Donovan) appears on his doorstep\, Saxberger is beckoned into a coterie of twentysomething admirers who anoint him as a rediscovered genius. Intoxicated by the attention—and by the alluring presence of Gloria\, the group’s “tragic heroine” (a sinuous\, Kurt Weill–crooning Greta Lee)—Saxberger gradually reckons with the authenticity of his newfound poetic circle. This thoughtful\, witty second feature from Kent Jones (DIANE)\, working from a sly and hugely entertaining script based on a novella by early 20th century Viennese author\, Arthur Schnitzler. SUMMARY:American Agitators
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nSept 16-20 \nInspired by Fred Ross Sr\, one of the most influential grassroots organizers of the 20th century\, AMERICAN AGITATORS is a documentary about the importance of patience and deep listening in organizing. Beginning in the 1930s\, Ross organized Dust Bowl refugees and during WWII he helped Japanese Americans find jobs and housing after release from the internment camps. After the War\, in the face of KKK activity\, he organized civil unity leagues in California by mentoring Mexican Americans and African Americans to build their voting power to challenge segregation in schools\, which led to a successful integration of local school boards across California’s Citrus Belt.  He worked from the understanding that while protests can draw attention to create sustainable change\, persistence and organization are required to build power and give people a voice in the decisions that shape their living and working conditions. American Agitators\, tells a story of how today\, collective action can combat racism\, bigotry\, and injustice and help move our nation towards a true democracy. SUMMARY:Do Donkeys Act?
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nSept 23-27 \n“Burned\, beaten\, abandoned\, donkeys look back at us humans with indifference\, and bray.” this documentary– filmed over 5 years––subtly subverts the notion of the “dumb beast” as it captures donkeys communicating emotionally with each other in the midst of healing from human cruelty and neglect. A poetic text threads through scenes “acted” by donkeys\, a rhythmic script commentary voiced by Willem Dafoe. The ethno-poetic-animal-fiction takes its playfully self-reflexive cues from Jean Rouch and Chris Marker. Encouraging us to respect a major language barrier we might not otherwise consider––the mystery and intrigue of donkey utterances––DO DONKEYS ACT invites us to “step into their shade\, listen closely” as we attune to a series of dramatic performances in which we eavesdrop on donkeys speaking amongst themselves. Reclaiming the donkey from the indignity of a centuries old master slave relationship in which the dominant image of the donkey has been negative (stubborn\, buffoon\, jackass\, laborer\, trickster and fool)\, it elevates a denigrated and degraded beast to the role of lead actor and performance artist. To paraphrase Marina Abramovic\, the donkey is present. (David Redmon & Ashley Sabin\, 2017\, Canada/Ireland\, 1:12\, G)

Influenced by classic recordings\, musical films\, and historical figures\, her sound blends nostalgic melodies with a modern sensibility\, often infused with wit and heartfelt emotion. Her melodic virtuosity\, authentic instrumentation\, and engaging narratives make her a strong fit for the country market\, appealing to fans who appreciate storytelling steeped in American Country roots. Her new album\, The Commuter\, was produced by 3x Grammy Winner\, Larry Cambell.
