DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \nMADDIE’S SECRET is comedian\, writer\, and actor John Early’s critically acclaimed directorial debut starring himself as Maddie\, a plucky dishwasher who leaps to viral superstardom at a trendy food content creation company. A pitch-perfect blend of satire\, melodrama\, daring tonal shifts and intimate performances\, the film marks a bold new voice in contemporary cinema. (John Early\, 2026\, USA\, 1:40\, NR)

SUMMARY:Shared Terrain: An Evening of Elevated Dance Cinema
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nShared Terrain: An Evening of Dance Cinema \nCo-produced by Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema\, Frequent Flyers® Aeria Dance and Dairy Arts Center. \nThis special screening\, as part of the Aerial Dance Festival 2026\, will ignite the imagination and tickle the senses. Three Canadian films re-envision the boundaries of dance through cirque\, contortion\, body choir\, and beyond – telling fables\, confronting climate change\, and expressing the idea that on this collective journey\, our strength resides in living in harmony with the people and environments around us. \nTraverse. (Canada) 13min \nSynopsis: “Traverse” weaves the stories of five women into a tapestry of collective experience as they journey\, confronting obstacles along the way. Through this process of reflection in motion\, a powerful sense of strength is ignited. \nHubris. (Canada) 29 min \nSynopsis: “Hubris” is an experimental docu-narrative that chronicles three individual journeys interpreted by dance and circus artists\, exploring a powerful storyline about climate change. Blinded by ego\, their journeys symbolize the collateral damage induced by a culture deeply rooted in individualism—serving as a metaphor for our environmental crisis and a need for a U-turn towards transformative change. \nBranché.'(Canada) 16 minutes \nSynopsis: Through unique\, female-driven circus and movement art\, Branché traverses time and lush natural landscapes of Quebec in a poetic exploration of our potential to work in harmony with nature in the face of the rising conflicts and chaos of the climate crisis. As diminishing resources and livable land drive an existential collapse\, the daring three-high formations and breathtaking falls remind us that a oneness of nature and humanity is undoubtedly worth preserving. \nFor more info click here>> \nFor full program click here>> \n

SUMMARY:Jews of the Wild West
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nJuly 28 \nIn celebration of America at 250\, the Boulder JCC presents two films illuminating Jewish contributions to our new nation’s history. \nJoin Boulder Jewish Film Festival founding director Kathryn Bernheimer and guests to view and discuss two festival favorites that shed light on unfamiliar chapters of American history. \n  \n“Jews of the Wild West\,” which coincides with Colorado’s 150th year as a state\, will be shown at 3 pm\, with guest speaker Dee Dee Diamond. “The Levys of Monticello\,” which offers an unusual take on Thomas Jefferson\, screens at 1 pm.  \n  \n“Jews of the Wild West” highlights the contributions Jewish Americans made in shaping the Western United States. The story of Jewish pioneers who played a definitive role shaping the expansion of the United States has been largely forgotten. But by 1912\, it is estimated that more than 100\,000 Jewish immigrants\, many fleeing persecution in Europe or simply seeking greater personal and economic freedom\, had put down roots in the Wild West\, leaving a lasting imprint on the cultural landscape. (Directed by Denver’s Amanda Kinsey. Running time: 83 minutes. 2022) \n  \nGuest Speaker: Boulder’s Dee Dee Diamond is the great\, great grandniece of Solomon Bibo\, one of the pioneers showcased in the film. Dee Dee traces her family’s fascinating journey from Prussia to America back to 1812\, when great\, great\, great-grandfather Lukas Rosenstein first emigrated to escape conscription in Napoleon’s army. \n

SUMMARY:The Levys of Monticello
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nJuly 28 \nIn celebration of America at 250\, the Boulder JCC presents two films illuminating Jewish contributions to our new nation’s history. \nJoin Boulder Jewish Film Festival founding director Kathryn Bernheimer and guests to view and discuss two festival favorites that shed light on unfamiliar chapters of American history. \n  \n“The Levys of Monticello\,” which offers an unusual take on Thomas Jefferson\, screens at 1 pm. “Jews of the Wild West\,” which coincides with Colorado’s 150th year as a state\, will be shown at 3 pm\, with guest speaker Dee Dee Diamond.   \n  \n“The Levys of Monticello” tells the little-known story of the Levy family\, which owned and carefully preserved Monticello for nearly a century – far longer than Jefferson or his descendants. The acclaimed documentary weaves together the remarkable story of the Levy family with an examination of Thomas Jefferson’s legacy\, also touching on still relevant issues of race\, slavery\, and antisemitism. Watch the trailer. (Directed by Steven Pressman. Running time: 70 minutes. 2022) \n\n

SUMMARY:Synthesis Theatre Presents: Ride the Cyclone | July 23 - 25
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nIn this hilarious and outlandish story\, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo\, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other – the chance to return to life. Through a wondrously funny and touching series of songs\, the teen contestants argue that they should be the ones to be saved. Told with moving insights into adolescence as well as dark comedic style benefiting the outrageousness of its premise\, Ride The Cyclone is a memorable and original musical. SUMMARY:Member Movie Pick: Adaptation
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nFREE for Dairy Arts Center Members \nSelected by Dairy members as this year’s Annual Member Movie Pick\, Adaptation is a fitting selection from a community of artists\, storytellers\, and creative thinkers. A wildly inventive\, funny\, and deeply human film\, Spike Jonze’s acclaimed collaboration with screenwriter Charlie Kaufman explores the challenges\, anxieties\, and unexpected breakthroughs that shape artistic work. Join us for this special member appreciation screening and discover why this singular film continues to inspire filmmakers\, artists\, and audiences more than two decades after its release. \nAbout Adaptation:\nNicolas Cage is Charlie Kaufman\, a confused L.A. screenwriter overwhelmed by feelings of inadequacy\, sexual frustration\, self-loathing\, and by the screenwriting ambitions of his freeloading twin brother Donald (Nicolas Cage). While struggling to adapt “The Orchid Thief\,” by Susan Orlean (Meryl Streep)\, Kaufman’s life spins from pathetic to bizarre. The lives of Kaufman\, Orlean\, and her book\, become strangely intertwined as each one’s search for passion collides with the others’.\n(Spike Jonze\, 2002\, United States\, 1:55)

SUMMARY:Everybody to Kenmure Street | June 24-27
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nJune 24-27 \nThe morning in Glasgow\, the first day of Eid\, started as any other. However\, when neighbors heard through community message networks that two local men were snatched up for deportation\, hundreds of people left their daily lives to rush down to Kenmure Street and put their bodies on the line. Though mostly strangers and with almost no planning\, this extremely diverse group organized themselves\, taking on essential roles to allow the collective to achieve their goal: protecting their own from government forces going after the most vulnerable among them. \nAn inspiring and profoundly moving portrait of what “normal” citizens are capable of in the face of injustice\, EVERYBODY TO KENMURE STREET reminds us of the power that is always inherent in the people. SUMMARY:Friday Night Weird: The Serpent's Skin
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nJune 26 \nTwentysomething Anna (Alexandra McVicker\, October Crow) finally leaves her small\, transphobic hometown for good and quickly begins dating goth tattoo artist Gen (Avalon Fast\, Castration Movie) after the two discover they share supernatural powers. But before Anna can call up the U-Haul\, Gen inadvertently summons a demon through the sick neck tattoo she gives sensitive guitarist Danny (Jordan Dulieu). As Danny — or whatever’s inside of him — begins feeding off their friends\, it’s up to Anna and Gen to figure out how to use their powers to save everyone before it’s too late. SUMMARY:Mad Bill to Pay | June 17-21
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nJune 17-21 \nIn a tight-knit Dominican American community in The Bronx\, Rico (Juan Collado) is hustling his way through the summer\, selling bootleg ”nutcracker” cocktails out of a beach cooler and chasing girls without a care in the world. But when his teenage girlfriend\, Destiny (Destiny Checo)\, begins crashing at his place with his family\, turning their small apartment into a stage for their messy\, complicated young love\, it’s only a matter of time before they’re hit with the sobering reality of growing up too fast in a city that waits for no one. \nWriter-director Joel Alfonso Vargas turns his hometown into the heartbeat of his debut feature\, teaming up with discovery talent Collado and Checo\, to deliver a raw and deeply authentic look at life in The Bronx. With humor and grit\, Vargas paints a tender portrait of the chaos and charm of urban life\, and the ups and downs of youthful abandon when things take an unexpected turn.
