DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \nMay 14-18 \nA seamstress gets tangled in her own thread after stealing a briefcase from a drug deal gone bad. In an escalating game of cat and mouse\, her different choices lead to drastically different outcomes along the way. SUMMARY:My Name is Alfred Hitchcock
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \nMay 14-18 \nA century after the debut of Alfred Hitchcock’s first feature\, he remains one of the most influential filmmakers in the history of cinema. But how does his vast body of work and legacy hold up in today’s world? Mark Cousins\, the award-winning filmmaker behind Women Make Film\, The Storms of Jeremy Thomas\, and The Story of Film: A New Generation\, tackles this question and looks at the auteur with a new and radical approach: through the use of his own voice. As Hitchcock rewatches his films\, we are taken on an odyssey through his vast career — his vivid silent films\, the legendary films of the 1950s and 60s and his later works — in playful and revealing ways. SUMMARY:Mother's Day with Hazel Miller and the Collective\, and Soda Blue
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \n\nColorado-based music icon Hazel Miller has a reputation for “bringing it” whether the event is a club setting\, concert\, festival\, or non-profit fundraiser. Hazel has toured North America\, Europe\, the Far East\, the Middle East\, and Central America. Her powerful voice stands out and her beautiful spirit shines through to the delight of her loyal fans. With one of the tightest and most versatile bands on the scene\, this show will please not only Mom\, but the whole family. \nSoda Blue is a musical group based on the quirky and unorthodox\, 37 year friendship between David Fermanich and Alice Frisch. David loves pop music from almost any era: most especially performers like Paul Simon\, the Everly Brothers\, and The Ventures. Alice loves blues\, classic rock and R&B tunes\, so you’ll hear her break into songs such as Chuck E’s In Love\, Green River and Chain of Fools. We both love silliness and making you smile so\, we like to keep things a little random. Occasionally…someone might even break into a kazoo solo. You never know what you’ll get! \nYour ticket includes a dessert buffet\, flowers for the mothers\, and a complimentary glass of prosecco (for those of age.)

SUMMARY:FNW: Tall Tales
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \nFollowing the recent announcement of their debut collaborative record “Tall Tales” (out 9th May via Warp Records)\, pioneering electronic musician and producer Mark Pritchard and Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke are sharing this cinema event in which fans will be able to hear the album alongside its accompanying feature film. An effective third member of the group\, visual artist Jonathan Zawada – whose multi-faceted approach to melding analogue and digital techniques have seen him work alongside the likes of Coachella\, Flume\, The Avalanches\, Royksopp\, and Dua Lipa – directed\, animated\, and edited the “Tall Tales” visual experience. The groundbreaking production was developed over the past few years in tandem with the evolution of the music\, juxtaposing it with uneasy landscapes of natural beauty and the brutal aesthetics of a dystopian world. Through Yorke’s lyrics\, Pritchard’s atemporal compositions and Zawada’s visuals\, “Tall Tales” questions where our insatiable appetite for ‘progress’ might have landed us. A prophetic cinematic experience\, “Tall Tales” has been years in the making\, but delivered right on time. (Jonathan Zawada\, 2025\, UK\, 1:04\, NR) \n

SUMMARY:The White Chip
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nRegional Premiere \nStraight from its critically acclaimed run off-Broadway\, The White Chip is the true story of one man’s journey from alcoholism to recovery in a play The New York Times described as “laugh-out-loud funny and gasp-inducing\, self-inflicted tragedy.” \nPlaywright Sean Daniels’ autobiographical tale is a familiar one\, packed with details that every addict will recognize. The endless deals one makes with oneself to stop drinking next week. Hiding vodka in Coke bottles. SUMMARY:For The Living
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nApril 27 & 28 \nIn January 1945\, 10-year-old Holocaust survivor Marcel Zielinski made a treacherous 60-mile journey by foot from Auschwitz-Birkenau to Krakow\, Poland\, in search of his family. Decades later\, 250 cyclists from 12 countries retraced his path in an empathetic mission called Ride for the Living\, created and run by JCC Krakow. This powerful documentary draws parallels between Marcel’s harrowing experience and the cyclists’ journey\, sparking an urgent conversation about our ongoing struggle between dehumanization and empathy. With genocide still occurring nearly 80 years after Auschwitz\, especially with what we are witnessing right now in Ukraine\, this film is a poignant reminder of the importance of saying “Never Again” and truly meaning it. (Marc Bennett & Tim Roper\, 2024\, USA\, 1:57\, NR) \nThis special event will include the attendance of Co-Directors Marc Bennett & Tim Roper and Producer Lisa Effress\, who will introduce the film and participate in a Q&A with Boulder JCC executive director Jonathan Lev after the screening. \n“For the Living weaves in the origins of Ride for the Living\, Holocaust awareness\, and what it means to examine the horrors of dehumanization.” – Danielle Solzman

SUMMARY:The Gullspång Miracle
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \nApr 23-27 \nA seemingly divine premonition leads Norwegian sisters Kari and May to buy an apartment in the small Swedish town of Gullspång. To their surprise\, the seller looks surprisingly similar to their older sister Astrid\, who committed suicide thirty years earlier. What’s even more odd is that this doppelgänger used to go by “Lita\,” the same nickname as their deceased sister. What begins as an eerie story of destiny\, faith and improbable coincidence soon becomes a Pandora’s Box of stranger-than-fiction revelations and awkwardly comical mishaps in this “riveting” and “one-of-a-kind” documentary that is “complete with Lynchian echoes of Twin Peaks” (The Hollywood Reporter). SUMMARY:Trusted Sources
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \nApr 23-27 \nIn a world where technology disguises misinformation and propaganda as news\, it’s difficult to know what information to trust. Many Americans have been driven away from the news they need to participate in our democracy. Trusted Sources is a new documentary film that shows how we got here\, how to find trustworthy news\, and how to protect good journalism. Ultimately\, finding and protecting good journalism requires some effort from news consumers; this shows how we can identify news organizations that earn our trust by adhering to standards that we expect of them\, how to spot misinformation and stop it from spreading\, and what we can do to protect and support our local news outlets.
