SUMMARY:American Agitators
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nSept 16-20 \nInspired by Fred Ross Sr\, one of the most influential grassroots organizers of the 20th century\, AMERICAN AGITATORS is a documentary about the importance of patience and deep listening in organizing. Beginning in the 1930s\, Ross organized Dust Bowl refugees and during WWII he helped Japanese Americans find jobs and housing after release from the internment camps. After the War\, in the face of KKK activity\, he organized civil unity leagues in California by mentoring Mexican Americans and African Americans to build their voting power to challenge segregation in schools\, which led to a successful integration of local school boards across California’s Citrus Belt.  He worked from the understanding that while protests can draw attention to create sustainable change\, persistence and organization are required to build power and give people a voice in the decisions that shape their living and working conditions. American Agitators\, tells a story of how today\, collective action can combat racism\, bigotry\, and injustice and help move our nation towards a true democracy. SUMMARY:Late Fame
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nSept 9-16 \nThe great Willem Dafoe lends his delicate gravitas to the role of Ed Saxberger\, a forgotten New York poet who works in the post office. After an eager and flattering young admirer (Edmund Donovan) appears on his doorstep\, Saxberger is beckoned into a coterie of twentysomething admirers who anoint him as a rediscovered genius. Intoxicated by the attention—and by the alluring presence of Gloria\, the group’s “tragic heroine” (a sinuous\, Kurt Weill–crooning Greta Lee)—Saxberger gradually reckons with the authenticity of his newfound poetic circle. This thoughtful\, witty second feature from Kent Jones (DIANE)\, working from a sly and hugely entertaining script based on a novella by early 20th century Viennese author\, Arthur Schnitzler. SUMMARY:Dramatheurgy presents: Undertow
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nA community’s fears are stoked into paranoia by a mysterious force\, who uses the town to summon itself into their reality. But is it the residents of the fictional seaside town — or the audience — who is doing the summoning? \nUndertow is an improvised theater production\, featuring original music by Jared Allen Lacy\, that premiered at the 2026 Denver Fringe Festival. \nUndertow is a surrealist horror piece that uses thematic elements of the Weird and the Eerie (Lynch\, Vandermeer\, Eggers\, Danielewski\, etc.) to explore the psychodynamics of residents of a small coastal town who find themselves living under an authoritarian regime\, and the mutual reinforcement between community atomization and oppression.

SUMMARY:Musical Vanguards at the Dairy presents an Evening with Seth Walker
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nSeth Walker is a revered modern Americana artist; a three-dimensional talent combining a gift for melody and lyric alongside a rich\, Gospel-drenched\, Southern-inflected voice with a true blue knack for getting around on the guitar. Currently residing in Asheville after stints living in Nashville\, New Orleans\, and Austin\, he’s used those experiences wisely\, soaking up the sounds and absorbing the musical lineage of these varied places. \nWith a bluesman’s respect for roots and tradition\, coupled with an appreciation for contemporary songwriting\, Seth sublimely weaves a range of styles with warmth and grace. All Music declares\, “Walker is deft and elegant\, weaving together sounds and stories in a way that has a quiet\, lasting impact\,” but perhaps Country Standard Time said it best: “If you subscribe to the Big Tent theory of Americana\, then Seth Walker –with his blend of blues\, gospel\, pop\, R&B\, rock\, and a dash country—just might be your poster boy.” His latest album\, Why The Worry\, is out now.

DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nBeatrice: “I wonder that you will still be talking\, Signior Benedick. Nobody marks you.” \nBenedick: “What\, my dear Lady Disdain! Are you yet living?” \n– Act I\, Scene I\, Much Ado About Nothing \nThe Upstart Crow Theatre presents Much Ado About Nothing\, a play that feels less like a 400-year-old classic and more like a messy lovers’ quarrel you keep pretending not to watch as it gets louder. \nNot judging. \nRemember those two friends who are constantly roasting each other\, but everyone knows they’re secretly obsessed? That’s Beatrice and Benedick. Their friends are busy playing matchmaker to get them to finally admit it. Meanwhile\, the “perfect” couple (Hero and Claudio) is falling apart because of one guy’s bored\, petty drama. It’s basically a high-stakes soap opera with better insults. Director Jeremy Elman digs in to find the grit\, the deception\, and the messy reality of forgiveness. \nIt’s funny\, sure. But it’s also human in a way that might catch you off guard. \nFast. Sharp. Dangerous. SUMMARY:Underland
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\nSept 2-6 \nOscar-nominee Sandra Hüller narrates this cinematic adaptation of Robert Macfarlane’s bestselling book\, UNDERLAND. The documentary voyages into worlds rarely glimpsed by human eyes to explore the world beneath our feet. One not of fear and darkness\, but rather of knowledge and wonder that can be found nowhere else. Beginning in the shallow soils beneath an old ash tree\, we travel alongside several ‘astronauts of the underworld’ into ancient sacred caves\, flooded storm drains\, melting glaciers\, underwater burial chambers and a deep underground laboratory built to solve the mysteries of the Universe. UNDERLAND dives deep into the Earth to present a groundbreaking vision for rethinking our lives on this fragile surface. (Robert Petit\, 2025\, USA/UK\, 1:19\, NR)
