DESCRIPTION:TICKETS \nIn a rare changeup\, just for February\, we are moving this showcase to Sunday at 7pm. \nAfter climbing the corporate ladder in his family’s South Florida car business\, Dave Williamson decided he liked making his customers smile\, but LOVED making them laugh. Since then\, he has excelled in almost every domestic Comedy Festival\, making the finals or “Best of The Fest” in the World Series of Comedy\, Boston Comedy Festival\, San Francisco Comedy Competition\, Big Sky Comedy Festival\, the SLO Comedy Festival\, and several others. Shortly after being named “Best Comedian in Miami” by the Miami New Times\, Dave packed up his family in a 25 foot travel trailer. They traveled with him while he performed all over North America\, eventually settling in Los Angeles after 18 months of touring. This trip was documented in a series of shorts by Nickelodeon.\nAli Kareem is a comedian based in Denver\, known for his sharp wit and engaging storytelling. Born in Baghdad\, Ali’s remarkable journey began as an interpreter for the U.S. Military in Iraq\, a role that eventually led to his U.S. citizenship. Today\, Ali continues to captivate audiences throughout Colorado\, delivering laughter with every performance.\nRebeca Trejo is a Denver-based standup comedian with a style once described by Josh Blue as “slam poetry with punchlines.” Born in Venezuela\, raised in Puerto Rico\, Rebeca migrated to the mainland in 2014 to escape both communism and colonialism\, so naturally she fled to…Louisiana. Now living in Denver\, Rebeca performs stand-up comedy in both English and Spanish. In 2021\, she toured with “Crazy Woke Asians”\, a California based stand-up comedy troupe dedicated to bringing awareness to social justice issues through humor\, where she headlined their Seattle\, Washington shows. More recently\, Donelle was named “Best of the Fest” in the 2023 Comedy Chateau Comedy Festival in Hollywood\, California and headlined shows at the 2023 Winter Park Comedy Festival.\n  \nRosalie is a comedian who isn’t afraid to talk about the good\, bad and downright filthy parts of being trans. She’s had the pleasure to work with some of the hottest names in stand-up\, and even snagged the trophy for the first Fort’s Funniest Competition held at The Comedy Fort. She’s also had the chance to be part of The Chief Bicycle & Comedy Festival in Trinidad\, CO as well as the High Plains Comedy Festival in Denver\, CO.\nTenured stand-up comedian\, podcaster\, voice actor\, and professional mischief-maker\, Mitch Jones has been doing stand-up comedy since 2010—but he’s been clownin’ since day one. With a voice that’s both authentic and relatable\, George continues to connect with crowds while carving out his place in stand-up. \nMiriam Moreno will not be on the show Saturday\, but replacing her is the very funny Andres Becerril\, who is a union worker and a regular in the Denver comedy scene. \nHouston native Julie Talbot is a queer stand-up comedian sent to save stand-up from its sins. \nPriscilla Dann-Courtney is a psychologist and writer. She and her husband of 42 years raised three children. And she likes to say even though we are all growing older\, the emphasis has to be on the growing and doing new things. So at 68\, she started standup comedy to remember the importance of laughter and the challenge of making ourselves BIG and center stage. Her columns have appeared in numerous national publications\, and her book\, Room to Grow\, Stories of Life and Family (Norlights Press\, 2009) is a collection of her essays. She dreams of becoming a peach farmer\, bringing sweetness and healing to a struggling world. \nCara Leoni is an educator\, comedy writer\, producer\, and entertainer.
