TICKETSSept 18 & 20 – Dancing on the Planet” — a curated dance film screening featuring shorts from the U.K., Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, and China — will remind you just how small you are, and how big this world can be. This collection of site-specific dance films repositions the viewer in relationship to the Earth, and connects our bodies to the places we call home, near and far. Through a multitude of contemporary dance forms, this screening illustrates that the range of humanity’s expression is as vast as the range of environments on the planet.

Can’t make it? Sans Souci has other screenings at the Boe this fall
Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema is a niche film festival where choreography meets cinematography. Based in Boulder, we’ve been collecting an archive for the last 19 years from artists around the world, and screening dance films, documentaries, music videos, and more. With an expansive definition of dance and an appreciation for highly experimental and interdisciplinary forms, this unique festival exposes diverse audiences to a variety of film, video, and performance possibilities. We open an annual call for entries, distributed around the world, with submissions curated by a panel of active dance filmmakers. We facilitate gatherings from educational workshops to public screenings to professional development for artists. While our roots remain proudly in Boulder County (Colorado, USA), our branches reach many locales nationally and internationally, and continue to grow.
