Betsy Tobin / Now Or Never Theatre: Puppetry with Recycled Materials

Saturday, 8/14/21, 11 AM-1 PM – Following a brief introduction on puppetry, workshop participants will use recycled and upcycled materials to create original rod puppets or puppets manipulated in view of the audience.
They will learn manipulation techniques for bringing their characters to life in simple scenes to be shared with the group.
Materials will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring in additional recycled items/materials if they wish.

Betsy Tobin has toured her award-winning performances through Europe and the United States. She has also taught puppetry techniques to all ages in France and the United States in schools, universities, museums, cultural centers, and theatre schools.
