Karen Regan, Treasurer

Karen Regan, Treasurer – Assistant Vice Chancellor of Research, University of Colorado Boulder
In her role at the university, Karen promotes the university’s research and creative works, helps develop strategic research initiatives and oversees the Offices of Postdoctoral Affairs and Conflicts of Interest and Commitment. Prior to joining CU-Boulder, she served in a variety of roles at UNC-Chapel Hill, including Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Director of Federal Government Relations. An attorney by training, Karen began her career in private practice in DLA Piper’s DC office where she focused on legislative affairs and political law.
Karen has been involved in supporting the arts since she first interned as a high school student at the City Gallery of Contemporary Art in Raleigh, NC. Many years later, she joined the Board of The ArtsCenter in Carrboro, NC where she served as chair for two years. Since moving to Boulder, Karen’s two children are enjoying music lessons with Parlando and stage performances at the Dairy through the Boulder Performing Arts Company.
