Joy Pak
Executive Director

Joy Pak originally joined the team at The Dairy Center for the Arts as Director of Development in November 2010. She is a recent transplant from New York City and was formerly the Major Gifts Director at Roundabout Theatre Company, the nation’s largest not-for-profit theatre with a $60 million operating budget, staging ten productions on five stages annually. Joy was responsible for the fundraising and stewardship of Board, Leadership Council, and Major Gift donors for the company. Prior to Roundabout, she was the Director of Individual Gifts at New York City Opera, overseeing the Patron and Membership programs. Her professional experience in New York also includes Associate Manager, Corporate Involvement at Robin Hood Foundation and Director of Development at Young Audiences New York. In Arizona she was Development Manager for Arizona Opera along with working in the management department at Arizona Theatre Company. In the corporate sector Joy managed branches for World Savings Bank. In her past life, she has performed on several stages from New York to Arizona, and also in a variety of commercials.

Joy is a member of Pi Alpha Alpha, The National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration, and a longtime member of The Association of Fundraising Professionals. She has also served on the Benefit Committee of Korean American Family Service Center, and the Friends of New York Historical Society. She was also a member of Women in Development and the Sigma Alpha Iota Alumnae Chapter in New York. Joy has served as a Board member of In Mixed Theater Company, Borderlands Theater, and AFP’s Southern Arizona Chapter. She also served on committees for the Leave A Legacy Planned Giving Initiative for Southern Arizona and Arizona Arts Alliance. Joy has an Executive Masters in Public Administration degree at Baruch College-City University of New York, and a Bachelors in Music, Music Theatre Performance from Arizona State University.
