Boulder Ballet, Company + School
Boulder Ballet Company and School has two large studios at the Dairy. The company, under the direction of Peter Davison employs 10 professional dancers and offers over 30 performances - including the beloved Nutcracker at the 2.300 seat Macky Auditorium - throughout the Front Range of Colorado.
The school with an annual enrollment over 330, under the direction of Ana Claire, provides ballet training for all ages, pre-school to adult, in a uniquely artistic and creative atmosphere. As a professional track ballet school, BBS serves students interested in dance as a career, as well as those pursuing dance for exercise and enjoyment. New Mom and Child class at Boulder Ballet! Through the Boulder Ballet School Program we can now offer a special yoga class for parent’s and young children, Moving Together. Lemon Sponge Cake Ballet School offers a sound classical ballet training using current teaching methods adapted from traditional ballet technique, in conjunction with contemporary movement classes to develop the student’s knowledge, understanding and passion for dance. We educate, encourage and support the needs of each student, identify and nurture individual strengths for greater freedom of expression through the art form to be used either professionally or as a life enriching skill. Moving to music is natural and enjoyable for most children and has numerous benefits.
Dance encourages mental and emotional development and enhances motor skills, it increases flexibility and muscular development. helps intellectual growth, self-confidence and self- esteem as well as develop spatial awareness.
Lemon Sponge Cake Contemporary Ballet School offers a world-class dance experience. It hosts a fully comprehensive ballet program to students, age 3 to 18, taught by expert teachers. We educate, encourage and support students by recognizing and nurturing individual talent. In addition, we offer open community classes to adults of all ages and abilities in a wide range of disciplines.
